By wearing your Invisalign for most of the day, you gradually ensure that your teeth benefit from consistent pressure to shift them into the right place. While this may sound like a lot of time out of your day, it still gives you plenty of time to take your aligners out to eat, drink, play sports, and more.
Our patients have unique orthodontic needs and expectations, so every timeline looks a little different. If you have more extensive issues that need correcting, you may spend longer in Invisalign. While the length varies from patient to patient, most people can complete Invisalign treatment within a year or two of starting.

Invisalign Teen consists of a series of clear aligners adjusted over time to shift your teen’s teeth into place for the smile of a lifetime. These aligners are printed to perfectly fit their teeth based on a 3D image we will take at the beginning of treatment. If they consistently leave their aligners out, their teeth may shift back to their original places, and treatment could be lengthened.

The most important thing to remember when you lose an aligner is that you need to call our office right away so we can make a decision that follows your treatment plan. If you are close to a new set of adjusted aligners, we may decide to go ahead and give you the next pair. As long as you let us know, we can help you protect your progress towards a straighter smile.
